Existing production technology was borrowed for the power train and chassis of the Audi TT Coupe.  Five valves per cylinder, turbocharging and four-wheel drive inspire the driver's enthusiasm.  Aluminum was used for the engine bonnet, the two doors, the rear lid and the front wings to reduce weight.
